Good day everyone and perhaps sorry to start a thread with no content.

Is there any SASplanet release for Android?

A beta will still be okay

There is another app SAS4Android.
But it's not related to SAS Planet and this site.

I recommend "Locus". Possibilities as at SASGIS. Viewing in кеш, labels, ways and ranges. It is assured, will not regret.

I have tried Locus, SAS4android along with a series of other lousy applications and other than MapsMe nothing worked. Let alone the fact that the android device sends scores of data to google servers and if you root the phone and turn off google services the device will not connect.

I could not make any offline map to work other than MapsMe.

Down with android, i better never existed.

The remaining point would be if there is a way to convert SASplanet dataset into the MAPSme format.

all the same thanks for reply and keep the site alive

The independent card for Locus becomes in SASPlanet as for "rmaps".После put in a folder maps in a root locus. Having replaced a file "provaiders" it is possible to get online access to leading providers (Bing Nokia Google Yandex). It is a little attention and Locus there is everything that is in SASGIS and even more.

Thanks for reply Kesav, I have been trying some Android mapping applications and the best performing was Offline Maps from Psyberia. But this app ties up data under a .dat database, for Bing Hybrid BINGHYB.DAT, I have to still discover how to convert datasets to this format. And there is no chance to do bulk cacheing jobs, you need to download by browsing.

Mapitfast and Locus performed OK

Orux maps is a TOTAL MESS.

Locus maps seems promising but I couldn't load any converted maps yet. Good features are "pro".

Rmaps and SAS4android just didn't work. This probably because my phone build.
I have a rooted Alcatel Android 5.0 that I use STRICTLY AWAY from home, for matter of privacy I don't allow it to connect from home. So I have limited time to test these things.

But let's talk clear, NONE OF THESE APPS COMPARE TO SASplaneta

 last minute edit:
I just loaded .sqlitedb data to Locus and worked fine, you need to export from SASplanet as Rmaps (Ctrl+A = Selection Manager > Export = Rmaps = All visible layers)

Placed under \Internal storage\Locus\maps

Overlays one or many work fine (no Wikimapia)

This holds true for small data, if we want to translate large datasets... it spells trouble

 edit:
I've just converted and loaded a 4Gb data to a MicroSD with no trouble. Locus is very cumbersome application but it works fine.

OruxNaps fine work with SasPlanet marks (kmz format)! LocusMap very very slow drawing with for more than 1000 poligons...
